Polit and Hungler (1999:37) refer to the population as an aggregate or totality of all the objects, subjects or members that conform to a set of specifications. In this study the population is Igbo Natives broadcasting in English language in Nigeria Television in Anambra State and Abia State.
3.4.1 The eligibility criteria
These criteria specify the characteristics that people in the population must possess in order to be included in the study (Polit & Hungler 1999:278). The eligibility criteria in this study were that the participants had to
- be Igbo Native Speakers
- be a television presenter or analyst in Nigeria.
- be residents of Igbo speaking Eastern part of Nigeria.
